The People Behind the Taste: Meet Danny Seggelke
At Turkey To Go, we’re more than just one of the top 10 grossing booths at the Minnesota State Fair—we’re a crew of local legends, hardworking hands, and dedicated food lovers who bring the flavor to life each and every day. As we gear up for another epic season, we’re proud to spotlight the folks behind the scenes who make it all happen. First up: Danny Seggelke.
Danny is a career cook who’s been hustling in kitchens his whole life. He started out as a busboy and worked his way up to lead cook at Pete Pappy’s in Stillwater—his longtime culinary home. Along the way, he’s put in time at other local favorites like Patriots, building a reputation for speed, consistency, and grit.
Danny’s motto? “Give me one ticket and I might mess it up—give me a hundred, and they’ll all be perfect.” That pretty much sums up why he’s the ideal guy to keep the Turkey To Go kitchen firing during the State Fair madness.
We lovingly call him a “marginal cook,” but make no mistake—Danny is the mastermind behind our back-of-house magic. He doesn’t have to be the cook; his real job is keeping the kitchen running at full capacity—and somehow making it all look easy. His speed, calm under pressure, and deep experience make him an irreplaceable part of the Turkey To Go family.
We’re lucky to have Danny on the team—and even luckier to call him a friend.
