At Turkey To Go, we’re more than just one of the top 10 grossing booths at the Minnesota State Fair—we’re a powerhouse crew of culinary talent, community legends, and die-hard food lovers. As we gear up for another epic season, we’re shining the spotlight on the people who make the magic happen behind the scenes. First up: Danny Seggelke.
Danny is far from your average kitchen guy—he’s a seasoned chef who’s put in serious time across Stillwater’s local food scene, rising to Head Chef and Lead Kitchen Manager right here at Turkey To Go. He’s known for his speed, sharp instincts, and ability to lead a kitchen under pressure without ever breaking a sweat.
With over two decades of chef experience, plus a long tenure at PD Pappy’s (his culinary home base), and stints at Patriots Tavern and other local favorites, Danny’s built a rock-solid reputation for consistency, hustle, and heart. His motto?
“Give me one ticket and I might mess it up—give me a hundred, and they’ll all be perfect.”
Outside of the Fair, Danny’s just as passionate about food. Every Thanksgiving, he deep-fries his turkey to crispy, golden perfection—because of course he does. And just this past summer, he took home the Judge’s Choice Award for his signature spicy crockpot chicken, proving he’s not just fast—he’s flavorful.
Danny might not chase the spotlight, but trust us—he runs the show behind the scenes. He keeps the kitchen tight, the team moving, and the food flying. We’re beyond lucky to have him on the squad—and even luckier to call him a friend.
